Installing Programming Environment

This page explains how to install, from scratch, a working environment for developing ScalaNeko programs.

There are two versions of these explanations, depending on which IDE/editor you want to use. Both have excellent support for the Scala language. For many years, IntelliJ IDEA was the preferred choice, but nowadays Visual Studio Code is recommended.
